Challenge

Critical production systems and site infrastructure needed recoverability that had been tested.
Saputo needed clear evidence that backups could be restored within the required RTO/RPO, and that DR runbooks worked in real conditions.

Implemented a backup design suited to each site (Veeam / Zerto as appropriate) with cloud targets for offsite retention.
Documented restore procedures and runbooks in Jira.
Scheduled regular restore tests and produced test reports showing success rates and any remediation actions.
Adjusted retention, replication and orchestration to meet each site’s RTO/RPO requirements.

Outcome

Documented restore tests and measurable success rates for critical assets increased confidence in recoverability and satisfied internal audit requirements.
